DITROLIO FLEXOGRAPHIC INSTITUTE PARTNERS WITH CMM INTERNATIONAL An Expanded CMM Technology Center Will “Bridge Gap” Between Narrow And Mid-Web Converting To help converters from around the world better understand how they can combine both narrow and mid-web converting technologies, CMM and DiTrolio Flexographic Institute have teamed up to expand on the Narrow Web and Mid-Web Technology Centers Technology Center at CMM International 2009, June 2-4 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois.
The “Narrow to Mid-Web Technology Center” will feature operating equipment from leading manufacturers producing actual jobs on the show floor all four days of the event. More than 15,000 converting professionals from around the world will be able to see various jobs being produced using both narrow and mid-web equipment.
“The Narrow Web and Mid-Web Technology Centers fill a void in the marketplace and we are delighted to have DiTrolio Flexographic Institute, an industry expert, overseeing the planning and workflow of this CMM 2009 Technology Center,” said MaryBeth DeWitt, CMM Event Director. “We were dedicated to bringing running machinery back to the exhibition floor with CMM 2007, and are confident that in 2009, the technology centers will be bigger and better with the technical expertise of our official coordinators. Not only will our technology center coordinators ensure the sponsoring companies have the resources and information they require for overall technology center success, but they will also be creating a unique learning experience for our attendees.”
What Is a Technology Center? Introduced at CMM International 2007, the Technology Centers are an innovative concept designed to provide attendees with a full production experience from start to finish. Companies that participate as Technology Center sponsors bring their specific piece of equipment to form a comprehensive display of a turnkey process for producing such end products as pouches, cartons, flexible packaging materials and more. Technology Center sponsors will benefit from PennWell subsidizing material handling and operational costs of running equipment. 2009 Technology Centers include: CMM International Donald E. For nearly three decades, CMM International has been recognized worldwide as the leading source of information for new products, technologies, trends and innovations for the converting and package printing industry. First managed by PennWell in 2007, CMM International 2007 was proclaimed by many industry sources as forging the future of converting and package printing with the launch of two Technology Centers. These Technology Centers – an innovative approach to showcasing running equipment on the show floor – allowed converters to experience each step of the converting process while discussing the technology with a variety of industry experts. In 2009, this innovative concept is being expanded to showcase more segments of the industry. In addition to the Flexible Packaging Technology Center, the Narrow Web Technology Center and the Mid-Web Technology Center, CMM introduces the addition of a Folding Carton Technology Center in 2009. Together, these three Technology Centers will provide attendees with an unprecedented look at a full production process from start to finish. Be a part of this groundbreaking platform designed specifically to showcase your technologies and capabilities. Sponsorships are limited and sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
